Use these answers to plan your first conversation. Details such as room arrangements, transfer methods and cancellation terms should also appear in the quote for your actual journey.
How do I reserve a tour?
Choose a route and send your dates, group size and preferences through WhatsApp, Telegram or email. The contact form prepares a message for you to review; it does not make a reservation or take payment. Availability, price and conditions are confirmed directly. Read Booking information before paying.
Are the trips private or shared?
The proposed itineraries are designed around a personal enquiry. Ask your quote to state whether the vehicle, guide and activities are private or shared. A private road transfer does not automatically mean a private camp, restaurant or attraction.
Why are many prices on request?
Dates, group size, accommodation and inclusions change the cost. A written quote should give the total price and currency, compulsory charges, optional extras and payment terms so you can compare like for like. A displayed price label is not a live availability check.
Is Agafay the same as the Sahara dunes?
No. Agafay is a rocky landscape near Marrakech, convenient for an afternoon and evening outside the city. The Merzouga routes travel much farther to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Choose based on the landscape and travel time you want, using our desert tour planning guide.
Should I choose three days or four days for the desert?
Three-day journeys are compact and involve long drives. Four days can give more time near Merzouga or split a return overnight, depending on the actual route. Compare the day-by-day itinerary rather than duration alone. Our Marrakech–Fes route comparison explains the trade-offs.
Can I start in Fes and finish in Marrakech?
Yes, the suggested Fes to Marrakech desert route runs in that direction. Confirm your exact pickup and drop-off before booking hotels. A one-way tour is different from a round trip that returns to its departure city.
What are the camp and bathroom arrangements?
Ask for the accommodation name, location, room or tent type, private or shared bathroom, hot water, meals and heating or cooling arrangements. The word “luxury” alone does not answer those questions. Confirm how luggage reaches camp and whether a camel or vehicle transfer is included.
Can I skip the camel ride?
Discuss a vehicle alternative before confirming. It depends on the selected camp, access and supplier arrangement, and may affect the price. Do not assume a replacement is available on arrival.
Are tours suitable for children or travellers with access needs?
Suitability depends on drive length, accommodation, activities and individual needs. Share children’s ages and describe required assistance, walking limits or step-free needs early. Ask about child seating, vehicle access, bathrooms and uneven paths. A route description is not a guarantee of accessibility.
What about meals and dietary preferences?
Your quote should distinguish breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and any exclusions. Discuss dietary requirements before selecting accommodation. If you have a serious allergy, ask what the specific provider can accommodate; a general preference message is not confirmation that a kitchen can prevent cross-contact.
Do I need a passport, visa or travel insurance?
Requirements depend on nationality and circumstances. Check with the relevant consulate and the official Morocco entry-formalities page before booking and again before travel. Arrange insurance suited to your itinerary, health needs and cancellation risks. We do not issue visas or guarantee entry.
When should I travel, and what should I pack?
Consider the desert, mountains and coast separately. Read our seasonal planning guide and desert packing checklist. Check the forecast close to departure and ask about conditions on the specific route.
Can I connect to a flight straight after a desert tour?
Avoid tight connections. Long transfers, weather and road conditions make arrival times estimates. Allow a comfortable buffer and discuss any fixed onward travel before accepting the itinerary.
What if I need to cancel or have a problem during the tour?
Use the contacts in your confirmation promptly and keep a written record. Ask for an acknowledgment, explain the issue and state the resolution you seek. Read Cancellation & refunds and Terms & booking conditions for the process. For anything your itinerary does not answer, contact us.
