Cookie policy

Understand cookies and local browser features on AmazighSoul: no visitor tracking by default, local enquiry preparation and WordPress administrator cookies.

Updated 6 October 2026

A cookie is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels. This page describes the features included in the current AmazighSoul website.

What happens during an ordinary visit

The theme and AmazighSoul Core plugin do not set visitor analytics, advertising or enquiry cookies. Tour filters work through the page URL. The enquiry form uses information you enter to create a message in the current browser page; it does not save that message in website cookies or local storage.

Photographs, fonts and brand icons are loaded from this website. The WhatsApp icon is a local SVG link, not an embedded WhatsApp widget. We do not embed maps, social feeds or third-party video players.

Features that may use cookies or device storage

  • WordPress administrators: the login page may set wordpress_test_cookie to check browser support. Successful sign-in uses authentication cookies such as wordpress_[hash], wordpress_sec_[hash] and wordpress_logged_in_[hash]. Administrator preferences can use wp-settings-* cookies. These support login and editing rather than public travel tracking.
  • Your browser: autofill and session restoration may remember entries according to your device settings. These are not an AmazighSoul enquiry database.
  • Your clipboard: selecting Copy enquiry writes the prepared message to your clipboard. Clipboard history is controlled by your device.
  • Contact services: following a WhatsApp, Telegram or email link opens a separate service. Any cookies or account storage used there are governed by that service.

Cookie duration and controls

Administrator authentication duration depends on WordPress and whether Remember Me was selected. WordPress user-preference cookies can last for a year. Administrators should sign out on shared devices. The official WordPress cookie documentation explains the core cookie categories.

You can inspect, delete or block cookies using your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking sign-in cookies can prevent administration access; the public tour catalogue and local enquiry preparation do not depend on those login cookies. Browser settings do not delete a message you already sent through another service.

Optional tracking and consent

There is no optional tracking to accept or reject in the current build, so the site does not present an acceptance banner for advertising or analytics. If optional trackers or embedded services are introduced, this page must identify their provider, purpose and duration. Where consent is required, they must remain inactive until a choice is made, and visitors must be able to refuse or withdraw that choice.

Hosting or additional WordPress plugins can change the cookie inventory. That inventory should be checked after each relevant installation or configuration change.
